Dependent Visa (KITAS)
Dependent Visa (KITAS) – Stay Close to Your Loved Ones in Indonesia
Bringing family with you to Indonesia?
Whether you’re the spouse or child of a KITAS holder, the Dependent Visa (KITAS) is your legal pathway to live together in Indonesia—stress-free.
At Safa Souq Solutions, we make it easy for families to reunite and stay legally in Indonesia, while unlocking the same residential benefits locals enjoy.
Who Is the Dependent KITAS For?
If your husband, wife, or parent holds a valid primary KITAS, you’re eligible to apply as their dependent. With this visa, you can:
Open an Indonesian bank account
Get a local SIM card
Access long-stay residency benefits
Please note: This visa does not allow you to work. But don’t worry—if you ever decide to take up a job or earn part-time income, we can help you convert your status smoothly.
Want to Work in Indonesia Later?
You have two flexible options:
Freelance or part-time income? Apply for an IMTA work permit and register your NPWP (Tax ID). We’ll also assist with annual tax reporting.
Full-time employment? We can guide you in upgrading to a Working KITAS, sponsored by your new employer.
Your Dependent KITAS will always match the validity period of the primary KITAS (6 or 12 months).
Visa Process & Key Questions
Can I Apply Before Arriving in Indonesia?
Yes! We can process your Dependent KITAS before you land. Once approved, we’ll email your E-Visa. To activate it, just attend a biometric session—either at the airport or your local immigration office in Indonesia.
Do I Need to Visit an Embassy?
No embassy visit required! As of late 2020, Indonesia’s Immigration Authority now issues E-Visas directly—faster and easier than ever.
Not Planning to Extend? Here’s What to Do
If you’re wrapping up your stay:
Apply for an EPO (Exit Permit Only)
You’ll need to leave within 7 days after the permit is stamped
Already left the country? Apply for an ERP (Exit Re-entry Permit) to avoid future travel issues.
What If I Overstay My Visa?
Overstaying your KITAS comes with serious consequences:
Daily fines (currently up to 1,000,000 IDR per day)
Potential blacklisting
Deportation
